Why Silent Hill 8 is shit. Part 1
Here I am again and what am I going to do? Count all the ways SH8 is a piece of shit and why the people who love it are morons. I will be watching a walkthrough and everything I find wrong i will write it down here. this is gunna take hours and may have to be split for the sake of my sanity.
First bullshit thing is the auto save feature. Really? how is that scary when it saves for you? I'm tired of the auto save trend.
Second are the hints at the bottom, really? hints? what am i? 3?
The music sounds like its from a 1970's hippy orgy dance circle thing, you know what i mean right? the hippies with their hands in the air, walking around in circles n shit.
Lol you get a pop up that tells you how to move, oh my lord are you kidding me?
Oh hey look the shower nozzles are shiny as fuck i wonder wh- oh its because they want me to fucking touch it and use it, now I really feel like an idiot,lololol SILLY ME.
this guy has been attacked and stabbed many times and still isn't dead. What the hell, he's not a monster he's a HUMAN.
The fact we get a shitty side story dream sequence for a tutorial on how to wield a weapon makes shit even worse. it doesn't even fit with the story so to speak since it was a god damn dream. Like the dude he kills (IN HIS DREAM) i guess was his neighbor who didn't tell the cops he didn't kill his kid or some shit but at this point in the game we don't know this.
The music is also shit, as stated before because i dont think akira did it and if he did he needs to stop because the SH games are turning into SHIT.
Apparently the big ass water theme in the game is due to his kid being drowned but with how much it appears, Murphy doesn't seem too fucking afraid of it or even gets sad at the sight of large pools of fucking water AT ALL.
You don't see a hint of him having a child untill the end of the game.
They don't explain why they are transporting Murphy.
Did I mention the music is utter shit?
The people right next to murphy in the cells are not moving their mouths.
The walk they make you do to get out of the jail is long and slow as fuck, unneccesary, we get nothing from that walk at all, no connection to Murphy, nothing.
His name being Murphy doesn't make me feel any pity for him.
the voice acting sounds like crap too, it sounds like they're obviously in a studio.Talk about lazy shitty work.

they try too hard to make this female seem bad ass, did she ever torment murphy while in jail? we don't know, why is she starting now and never before?
ok so he falls asleep on the bus and dreams of some kid and then him and cops and blah blah, this is where you figure out (if you're smart) that kid is obviously his son and he obviously killed him so he's in silent hill because he obviously killed the kid, we all get that? thing we don't know why he killed his kid.
so the bus crashes and we dont see why...they just go into a ditch. Real nice.
So the bus crashed into WATER, now leading us to think that water to Murphy means that "oh his kid must of drowned so now he is afraid of water or its because murphy killed his kid in the water and he feels guilty, oh buy wait doesn't PYRAMID HEAD represent guilt and the need to be punished? if Murphy feels guilty about killing his kid (or even seeing his kid die and not being able to help his kid) then where is pyramid head? he must not feel guilty and feel the need to be fucking punished, for that matter where/who the fuck his the kids mom? divorced or not it would be nice to know if she was involved, prehaps that comes later?
Oh look at that thing that pops up, a thing telling us what to do! "get to the highway" GEE WIZ THAT WAS HARD TO FIGURE OUT I AM SOOOO GLAD THAT POP UP WAS THERE.
sigh, now we get choices? most likely that effect the ending but come on, really? I liked when you had to do obscure shit to get a different ending, not just a choice of whether or not to let some whore die or live. I prefer looking at a knife all the time to get a different ending, it makes better sense that way.
so he's in silent hill now or what? cuz the area looks alot like the movie area and not silent hill at all which leads me to believe he's not in silent hill.
nope he just got a map, he's in silent hill. I like how the prison is 100% different from SH2. because you know a small town needs 2 prisons.
locked door? LOLOL NO PROBLEM JUST SMASH IT WITH A WEAPON. oh you have a knife? LOL ITS OK THAT WORKS TOO.
I like how they zoom in on the door when you open it in an attempt to scare you. Way to go using that obvious trick guys.
there's a wheelchair on top of this fucking gas station. WHY. there's no reason for it there, do you know why it worked in sh1? maybe it was because it was un-expected AND the fact in japanese culture they consider wheelchairs to be a bad omen. Having this thing on top of a gas station in a SAFE ZONE means nothing. Go fuck yourself.
gee a piece of rock can be a weapon now? basicly anything can be a god damn weapon. boy do i feel safe now that i can use a rock.
the devil's pit eh? where was this before? why was it never mentioned in SH2? there are so many holes in SH (you know when the roads cut off) why is this one special?
awww he's just outside of SH, not in it. and yet there is still another prison nearby. WHAT FOR.
ok so he sees this old car and we get a mini cutscene about it, why should we care? it doesn't add to him at all, its a random car he sees and knows about it how the fuck do we relate to him with this info?

no seriously why does murphy need a SH guide? is he that stupid? James didn't need one and neither did harry, the black dude isn't even like maria and doesn't add to the story, he's just there like a fairy god mother or guardian angel, talk about bullshit.
apparently devils pit had an accident. what does it add to the story? why should we care? it's not about murphy at all so whats it adding other then useless info we don't need.
black man said the roads are all out and yet he's delivering mail. how are you doing that? going into the damn woods just to deliver mail to a town with basicly no roads? he knows damn well SH doesn't have people living in it so why is he delivering mail? does he symbolize something for murphy? if so what and why. do we ever find out? nope. we don't, he's just THERE to be THERE.
so now we're getting pamphlets to the devils pit, why? how is this helping murphy at all? we know we have to use the tram thats connected to devils pit, why get info on it? it doesn't contribute to murphys story at all. oh wait it might in some minor way, some shit about some kids dying in the ride crash or some shit but again that doesn't really relate to murphy since his kid died in WATER not a CRASH.
we just got a walkie talkie. why? who are we talking to? there isn't anyone. this is pointless, is it a replacement for the radio? if so that's fucking retarded.
you put money in the jukebox just to play a song....thats not a waste of time now is it?

First there will be a summerization of what I thought of the game (loved it, hated it)
Then there will be a pro's and con's section, pro's first then con's, even if I hated the game to death
At the end will be a 1-10 rating and if I recommend it or not and why.
There also will be pictures through-out the whole review.
